Induction Stove

Every home seems to have an induction stove these days.  People from progressive countries started using these stoves and almost everyone are using them now.  You really can not blame them for opting to use an induction stove because of it’s many benefits.  As an induction cookware, these induction stoves make use of magnetism to generate heat from the stove.

Induction stoves are popular in hotels and restaurants, not just in households.  Because of the advanced technology of induction, cooking with an induction stove is very energy efficient.  It allows you to cook food in a much faster rate because it can get hot very fast.  Boiling water for example can just take a little over a minute.

This kitchenware is also very safe to use.  There is no reason for you to get burned because there are no flames produced in this stove.  If that is not enough, you can also get these induction stoves for a much cheaper price than the old gas range models.

The downside of an induction is that you cannot use any cookware for cooking.  You should use a special cookware especially made for induction stoves.  They need to be magnetic as the induction stove will not generate heat if the cookware is not magnetic.  In your local store, you can check these out by looking at the label.  If the cookware is meant for induction cooking, it should say so.  If it doesn’t, it cannot be used in your induction stove unless it is made out of cast iron.
There are some people who try to place a magnet at the bottom of the cookware so they can use their old cookware.  I personally haven’t tried this and would rather purchase a good pan for induction cooking rather than risking the induction cookware to be damaged.  Our induction stove makes a beeping sound if the cookware used is not meant for induction cooking.  This allows us to easily detect that we should use another pan or not.
At the moment, many companies are already making cookware for induction cooking.  Induction stoves are very popular nowadays and the manufacturers have every reason to make more of them.  In the future, manufacturers will probably make pans or pots for induction cooking by default.
For the disadvantage, the special cookware issue is just about the only disadvantage I can see with an induction stove.  It has a stylish look, is very energy efficient, safe and extremely easy to clean.  What more can you ask for with an induction stove?
